Hello...my day sucked as ussual...it's the new semester and i did pretty good last semester which is cool...(mostly Bs). So today in every class we had new people in our class which is cool. First period was stupid along with 2nd. But 3rd period was a lot of fun...My friend Denise joined Concert Choir! I was so happy to see her there. I love choir! I love our songs were singing this time. COME THOU FOUNT is the best song i think weve sung in choir so far. Its beautiful!!!

So then the rest of the day flew by and finally sixth period came. I was so mad. The stupid idiot teacher decided to have assigned seats...and now I dont sit next to any of my friends. It SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was one of my favorite periods cause I sat next to annie, snyde (<--inside joke), tea, and everyone else who sits next to me....and katie. IM SO MAD AT HER...So now my new favorite period is chem...I dunno I think the teacher is pretty cool. Everyone says hes a bad teacher but I dont see. Yes, granted I get mad at him some times but I think he is good at teaching, or at least better than the other teachers...

So I went home pissed off because the last period sucked, and I was tired. I went to go take a short 30 minutes nap and woke up at 6...not exactly 30 minutes from 3 o'clock....I went online talked to friends and did my homework, ate dinner, and then decided to write in my journal where I find myself now!!!

WELL im going to bed now...CYA!!!

Sorry I havent written in this for such a long time...I KNOW I KNOW, I'm really popular and everyone loves to read my journal...JK! Anyways this week has been horrible, with finals and more finals, I had to study my ass off to get somewhat decent grades, I guess...So anyways I got sick so I've been lazying around for the past two days not doing anything. But today I finally got out of the house, cause I was...well...forced to. I woke up at around nine today...which is early for me on a sunday trust me. So I called my uncle and told him that he had to come down today for my interview to get my confirmation. He said okay and in a few hours afterwards he came down...

Justa little off topic...I need to talk about my confirmation...I'm so excited to get it. It's kinda sad though in a way, after more than 1/2 of my life of going to classes and attending church, I'm finally going to be done...with the schooling part. I think its sad because its kinda like a turning point in my life. I'll be considered an adult in our religion, and I'll finally be cemented in my faith. I think that that is a big relief for me cause I TRULY AND DEEPLY believe that this is the religion for me, and that I could spend my life believe in what this religion says, and also not to be afraid when my life ends. And I think thats an important part in choicing a religion...I mean...isnt that the reason why we believe in a religion...so we can have eternal life? These are just some of the things i think about on my free time :)...

Anyways on a much lighter note...I went to the meeting and I got approved for confirmation...which was cool...but honestly do you think anyone evil enough to say that your not ready would be teaching them so they can be ready...it would almost be like bashing yourself!

Finally it was over and me and my uncle went out to lunch...it was fun...And so we went home and he started talking to my mom when he said "Oh by the way David, I have a card for you." I was happy...and even happier when I saw 100 dollars in it! lOL

So my day was pretty good...I decided to clean out my tank and to watch the game...It was fun..
heres my finishing result of the tank!:

SPONGEBOB ROX! lol

Hello everyone, well lately I have acctually been doing stuff thanks to a few friends;-). So that mean I have something to talk about. But first off this week we had to babysit my aunt and uncles retarted dog Tolah. I sware that dog needs to be taken on a one way trip to nowhere...then we'll never have to see it again. Heres a pic:

That dumb dog stayed up ontop of my other dogs houses for like 2 day occasionally coming down to get some food that she stole from patty and sheiba. (sorry this is gross) She poops on the patio in our backyard and I was throughing out the trash today and I stepped in it! I wanted to kill the dog...but it had gone back to my aunt and uncles already.

Anyways there are some good animals in the world and chuckie and mickey, my two cats are some of the very few. Don't get me wrong I abseloutly adore animals, ones that knows where to poop..LOL but here are mickey and chuckie!

im trying out my new cam with these pics!

My animals like sleeping in boxes...whats the point of spending a ton of moneyon the when there not going to sleep in them...LOL!

Chuckie is my pet, well I'm the one who takes care of him, and the rest of my pets, kinda lol I get help!

So anyways that same day Katie and Katilin invited me to go out to dinner with a few other friends. I went and it was a lot of fun. We went to Mimi's Cafe and waited inline for an eternity for some strange reason, but we finally got to our table and it was a blast from then on in...not like it wasn't fun just talking and laughing in the waiting room, I was just starving! So we ate and then went back to Katilin's house and there again we waited for an eternity to watch Family Guy...I brought my DVDs so we could watch them. They liked them at least I think. LOL, yah it was a lot of fun, can't for our next get together!

So now its Saturday and I went over to Sally's house to help her learn "America the Beautiful". She has such a beautiful voice. I will hit Mr. Stewart if he doesn't let her in but I dont see why he wouldn't, she has an awesome voice! Here are some pics:

That's Sally and Linh looking at pics from 5th and 8th grade year. And yes we did eventually practice!LOL

Yes, thats me and yes, I can read music. I'm not just staring at the page to look cool...or was I...hmmmmm.

So anyways thats the end of my interesting stories! I have to back to school in a couple of days unfortunately, I really really really don't want to go back at all!
BYE

I did. I did get a little upset at my camera, for some reason, it doesn't absorb light very well so the pictures always come out dark. This was one of theonly good pictures I took at my Aunt and Uncle's House. This is my cousin Luke! He's, I think 4 now, and he's a brat...LOL...But I still love him! So anyways this was probably the only good one I took. Btw I got a lot of presents. I was very happy with what I got. I got tons of money. I didn't get any Birthday Presents, but I don't care much. The big marker for this week was the giant chemistry lab that we had. It wasn't the lab that we did at school, it was the lab writeup that took forever to do. I took me hours and hours and hours and hours to finish it. Here wut it looked like:

Replacement Lab and Naming Compounds

Purpose: The purpose of this lab is to see what happens when a chemical reaction takes place, to see what substances react with each other to find a trend, and to learn how to name the compounds forming in the small dishes.

Materials:
•	Small dish
•	Pipettes-with the following chemical compounds:
•	KI
•	NaOH
•	Na2CO3
•	Na3PO4
•	FeCl3
•	AgNO3
•	PbNO3
•	CuSO4

Procedure:
1. Create a data table as shown below
2. Mix 3-4 of each requested compound and note the changes.
(Do not contaminate the materials, including the micropipette)

(Data table on the last page.)

Conclusions:
1.	Write a word equation for each mixture that produces a reaction.
2.	Write an equation for each mixture that produces a reaction. (aq, s, l, g,…)
3.	Name the ppt. if any. (Underlined compounds are the ppt.)

The purpose of this lab was to learn how to name and replace compounds. I also learned that the precipitate is the element that must leave the equation because it would unbalance the equation or because it is not needed for the reaction. Mostly the reactions were minor and hard to see. It was mostly where the liquids would turn into solids.

1. Silver (I) Nitrate dissolved in water and Potassium Iodide dissolved in water react to form solid Silver Iodide and liquid Potassium Nitrate.

AgNO3 (aq) + KI  AgI (s) + KNO3 (aq)

2.
HOlA everyone...Sorry about not writing for such a long time but I have had like alomst no time...I know how many people read this and all!

So anyways, I had somewhat of a good week, lots happened. Since I'm just getting over being sick I had a lot of HW which sux. So yah...I have like the BEST teachers...there all so nice. Mrs. Render ROX! I asked her if I could take the test later because I was sick and I couldnt read...she said, oh thats fine, don't read today, try and get some sleep(I had been staying everything night till 1:00 or 2:00 to catch up with the rest of the class, I would start reading at nine.). That was one of the nicest things a teacher has ever said to me...LOL

Also Mr. Stewart is really cool too. I tried out for a solo, I'm in choir, and choir rox. So anyways, I thought I sounded bad but he said that my higher voice was sounding a lot better...He asked me if I was taking classes out of school, like private sessions, I'm not. And then he asked me if I was going to try out for Troubadours (the highest choir) this year, and I said yes...He smiled and said GREAT!!. And then He said that I did really good on the solo try out. I WAS SOOOOO HAPPY. I hope I get it. I would be ecstatic, and it's a resisitive, which is basically where you talking but singing at the same time, and its like 2 PAGES LONG!!! If I got it I would die.

So, lets see, Mr. Orme, my chemistry teacher is really cool too. On thursday we did this experiment, where we tried to make Sodium Hydroide out of Sodium and water.(Sodium Hydroxide is the equivalent of DRANO) So he put the a slice of sodium, and nothing really happened, it just fizzled a little. So he kept putting piece after piece in, and nothing happened. So we all started to lose interest. He put one last piece in and it exploded BOOOOOOOOM! Like a gun. It was soooo cool! And then afterward fire was ontop of the water, and coming out of the beaker. WE MADE NaOH.

But nothing really happened today, all that happened really only happened after school. I went to my first ENTERTAINMENT TO GO meeting. The people in that club are sooooo nice. Alana, the president, is the nicest person you ever met. We learned some Christmas songs, and practiced some dances and learned some harmonizing. It was like 4 and I didn't feel like walking home. Steve Wei gave me a ride home...HE ROX...he's really cool...the nicest senior I know!

So went home and slept. Isn't my life interesting!!
Well thanks for reading!!
BYE
P.S. Family Guy rox, you cant see the other picture i put so hear it is again

Yesterday was the first time I had gone outside for 4 days...AHHHHH!!!! Anyways, as you can see, I have had a bad week. Nothing interesting happened today. I woke up at 12 and this was the first time all week that I didn't wake up with a fever, or coughing my brains out. And I feel a whole lot better which is cool. So...yah, I also saw Finding Nemo for the first time. It's a really good movie for people who haven't seen it yet."I shall call him squishy and he will be mine...or something like that...OSOOOOOOO funnnyyy!!lol Dori was my fave.
So anyways thanks for reading and also the new trailer for HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN IS OUT!!!yay

http://harrypotter.warnerbros.com/web/dailyprophet/article.jsp?id=POA_Teaser_Trailer

BYE

Well today was horrible!. When I woke up this morning my throat hurt. And my stupid cat was outside meowing. I sware if I had a gun...ANYWAYS...I got up really really considering that I accidentally slept in and that it would be weird if I went to school. But I got up and went. 1st period, I felt okay but my throat hurt a little, then came second period and my eyes hurt my head hurt (felt like my head was going to explode) my jaw hurt, everything hurt. I wanted to go and sleep but I didn't(Aren't I a great student...LOL) So on the way to third, I sware I was going to faint, and I'm good with pain, well I think so, Tiffany if your reading this, disregard what I'm saying! LOL...So I couldn't read cause it hurt to read (Third period we have a twelve minute reading thingy. BORING). So I got a letter from Mr. Stewart. And went to the office and went home.
Everyone in Concert Choir, minus a few people, need to be murdered. Everyone in that class is so snobby, again minus a few people...Like Steve, Katie, Amy, Melanie (I think her name is Melanie), and Ashley, and of course some other people that I can't think of. But yah, everyone else sucks. Stupid people...Like one day, when Mr. Stewart was gone, Some stupid choir people felt it was alright to just take over the class, and teach us a new song...STUPID!! You have no idea. UGH! But I like it because I love the music! And some of the people like I mentioned were nice, and I like Mr. Stewart. I really really really want to be in Troubadours next year, you have no idea! But I doubt I'll get in...
So I went home, and I couldn't stop shaking cause I was so cold, and I had such a bad headache all day, and my throat feels like acid was burning through it.So I slept, and slept, and slept...and slept! lol.
So now I sit here still in pain but feeling better...LOL
Thanks for Reading!!!!BYE

But anyways I had to do a stupid project for stupid spanish which I'm probably going to fail (i hate that class!!!)...But yeah here is my project, I hope you LIKE IT:

David Ornelas
Period 2

Mi Papel de Español

Gazpacho:
•	1 small sweet onion, quartered
•	1 large green bell pepper, seeded and quartered
•	2 medium cucumbers, scrubbed and coarsely chopped
•	1 rib celery, coarsely chopped
•	3 large cloves garlic, peeled
•	2 large fresh ripe tomatoes, quartered
•	2 cups tomato juice, or use canned whole tomatoes with their juices
•	2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil
•	Salt and pepper to taste
•	2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
•	2 tablespoons olive oil
•	Hot sauce (optional)

(ITS IN SPANISH AND ITS NOT THAT GOOD)

Ugh, granted I love god and all (BTW I'm Catholic)but can you believe sacrificing 4 hours of your day, for learning stuff that you have been taught since you were in pre-kindergarten!!! But anyways I'm just being bitter I had fun...KINDA

WELL here is my essay if you want to read it...It's long

Lord of the Flies Book Report

Imagine yourself on a desert island, trapped, with nothing. Imagine being surrounded by all new people, people you have never met, and having to make a society built on survival of the fittest. Could you survive? Would you want to survive? These are some of the feelings that are put out by the wonderfully imaginative novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding. The literature in this story is very vivid and colorful, and sets a mood that only a true author could make. To get down into the true roots of the book, you must look at what terms and ideas that were used to make the book, well, the way it is. It is important to search for the true meaning of the book, not by the author himself, but through his writing. The literary terms in the story are the best way to seek the true meaning of the author’s writing.

So now an important literary term used and found through out the book was suspense. Probably the most suspenseful part of the book, and easiest to understand is the fraction where we find Simon, Jack, and Ralph all heading to the top of castle rock to find the illusive beast that has been entering their campsite and frightening the “littluns”. It states:
““I’ve been all over. It must be here.”
“I see.”
Simon mumbled confusedly: “I don’t believe in the beast.”
Ralph answered him politely, as if agreeing about the weather.
“No. I suppose not.”
His mouth was tight and pale. He put back his hair very slowly.
“Well. So long.”
He forced his feet to move until they had carried him out on the neck of the land.
He was surrounded on all sides by chasms of empty air. There was nowhere to hide, even if one did not have to go on…”
This is a truly suspenseful part of the book because it shows how unknowing they are of what is to come of them. No where to run or hide for safety, and that is what the author wants you to feel like. Like you’re Simon, slowly walking down the small trail of a cliff, not knowing of what is around the next bend.

Conflict is found in every society everywhere on the planet, including the isle in Lord of the Flies. And two of the main characters are always fighting which brings up the next literary term, external conflict. The external conflict in this story becomes so horrible, that it literally separates the characters in the story. Jack, Simon, and Simon had just gotten back from there expedition to the top of the mountain. Jack becomes exceedingly jealous at the fact that Ralph is the chief. He says:
“I’m not going to be apart of Ralph’s lot-”
He looked along the right-hand logs, numbering the hunters that had been a choir.
“I’m going off by myself. He can catch his own pigs. Anyone who wants to hunt when I do can come too.”
He blundered out of the triangle toward the drop to the white sand.
“Jack!”
Jack turned and looked back at Ralph. For a moment he paused and then cried out, high-pitched, enraged.
-No!”
He leapt down from the platform and ran along the beach, paying no heed to steady fall of his tears; and until he dived into forest Ralph watched him.”
The external conflict in this story is very strong between the protagonist and the antagonist, also known as Ralph and Jack. The author seems to favor Ralph and in his beliefs more than he does Jack, which is why, logically Jack is the antagonist. Neither is wrong, just opposing views, and that is what William Golding was trying to express, that no person is wrong in their own view, but to someone else they could be mistakes of great proportions.

And finally we reach the final literary that is found a great deal through out the book, dramatic irony. In this next scene of the book, we find the children in the new camp made by the newly appointed chief, Jack. They start dancing and chanting and acting eccentric when Simon walks out of the forest mumbling about a beast in the forest when they just and start attacking him. It states:
“Simon was crying out something about a dead man on a hill.
“Kill the beats! Cut his throat! Spill his blood! Do him in!”
The sticks fell and the mouth of the new circle crunched and screamed. The beast was on its knees in the center, its arms folded over its face. It was crying out against the abominable noise something about a body on the hill. The beast struggled forward, broke the ring and fell over the steep edge of the rock to the sand by the water. At once the crowd surged after it poured down the rock, leapt on the beast, screamed, struck, bit, tore…”
The dramatic irony in this section is the fact that we know that Simon has just walked out of the forest, but they think it is the beast, and with everyone going out of control, they did the most irrational thing they could do and destroyed and innocent life. And the author wants you to feel like you must stop the characters from their irrational behavior, but you can’t.
As said before in the introduction, the best way to find the author’s meaning, is through the literary terms. The book was interesting in most places and at sometimes, intensely suspenseful. The plot and the premise of the story were well thought of and appealing to the reader. The story also is very symbolic in many ways, such as how every character has symbolism towards human characteristics, like how Ralph stands for persistence, and Piggy being wise. And most importantly, how the Lord of the Flies, to me, is the evil created by the human race and how it affects everyone. But in the end they learn there lesson, which also shows that even though they created this “Lord of the Flies”, they had control over it and could make it just a memory.

I was talking about...I was the area director, yet C.J. was down there alomst the whole time. I think he should have been because he was more responsible than me...and he was a lot older..(no offense to old people) jk!

Yah so as I said earlier I said that I taught environmental science. It is the most boring, like I said, but it is also the most saught after out of all the meritbadges...My class was always filled with tons of people...More than most classes, and this is how the four weeks went:

week one period 1: 8 people
period 2: 16 people

week two period 1: 12 people
period 2: 26 people

week three period 1: 24 people
period 2: 36 people

week four period 1: 58-65 people
period 2: 30 people

It was really hard trying to teach all of those people...but it was fun!!!
